Obesity is defined for men as weighing 20% or more than the maximum weight desirable for their height, or having a Body Mass Index over 30 kg/m2. For women, obesity is defined as weighing 25% or more than the maximum weight desirable for their height, or having a Body Mass Index over 30 kg/m2.
